Beautifully Black

REPRESENTATION OF STRENGTH

At Obsidian SF we celebrate diversity and inclusion and consider ourselves social activists as well as cannabis activists. From a global perspective, the color
black is often associated with a negative connotation. The same is often true for black people throughout history, up until present day. It is through life
experiences and being one of the few Black dispensary owners, that the founder of Obsidian SF landed on the name. I thought it would be important to find something that was a good representation of black strength, resilience and beauty, something that would resonate with many. Obsidian is often a deep dark
and beautiful black hue. It is formed from rapidly cooling lava and when polished has a beautiful and glossy finish that was often used as a mirror. Symbolic of the
black experience in today’s world.
